Map of 'Old Bombay'

This century old map of the City of Mumbai clearly shows the demarcation between the two parts of the city... seen here as 2 distinct pink clusters. The one to the south is the 'White Bombay' or 'Fort' where the Europeans stayed during 'The Raj' and the larger cluster to the north is where the 'natives' stayed... often referred to as the 'Black Bombay' by the Western World.

Though most tourists are able see the Fort Area, very few make it to places like Girgaon, Kalbadevi, Dongri, Pydhunie, Bhuleshwar etc. Not much has changed in these boroughs over the last century... but it may not last long. KHAKI TOURS will strive to unlock this unexplored area to discerning tourists like you!
